Good news for employees in the security industry: Today, Monday, there was an unscheduled negotiation date on the collective agreement of the guards. In the two previous rounds, the employers put insufficient offers on the table. However, the vida negotiators showed strength and remained steadfast. Today, for example, an agreement was reached that brings wage increases of 3.08 percent – weighted according to the number of employees in the individual wage groups.

"With rolling inflation of 3 percent, this is a negotiation result that is impressive. It secures the purchasing power of our colleagues and shows that we must not skimp on security, especially in difficult times."

Event workers will benefit in particular, with their wages rising by 3.4 percent.

In addition to the fair compensation of inflation, there is also a noticeable improvement in the framework law for guards without a works council: their expiry period will be raised from nine to twelve months. This will allow them to claim wage components that have not been paid correctly retroactively up to one year in the future.

The new collective agreement for guarding will apply from 1.1.2026.
