After five intensive rounds of negotiations, the following negotiation result was confirmed by the employees by a vote.

Violence against railway workers is increasing. After a serious assault in Styria and the fatal attack on a train conductor in Germany at the beginning of February, the trade union vida is sounding the alarm. Chairman Roman Hebenstreit is calling on the government and rail operators to hold a rapid safety summit – and concrete measures to protect employees and passengers.

At an inquiry at the Ministry of Finance, the trade union vida shows how wage dumping, tax fraud and social security fraud distort entire industries – and calls for consistent countermeasures.

In an open letter to the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, the trade union vida calls for the introduction of a binding seal of approval for fair tourism as well as the rapid and respectful resumption of collective agreement negotiations in the industry.

In the fifth round of collective bargaining negotiations for the religious hospitals of Upper Austria, there has once again been no significant rapprochement.
