We are committed to working in tourism
- Employees in the hotel and catering industry
- Employees in system catering
We demand for you
- Working time organisation and predictability: Duty rosters must be transparent and should be largely adhered to so that employees can plan their leisure time and family care.
- More free weekends: Having to work whenever others are off leads to exclusion from social life. Therefore, tourism workers should have a minimum number of Sundays off per year.
- Fair pay: We demand a minimum wage of € 2,000. This requires appropriate Sunday and night bonuses.
- Protection against exploitation: Working hours and overtime should be limited to protect employees from permanent overload.
- Professional development: Tourism needs more opportunities for further training and advancement in order to increase the attractiveness of the professional field.
- Protection against sexual harassment: A large proportion of the female restaurant workers had to experience sexual assault. A protection concept is needed that prevents harassment in the industry and offers help to those affected in an emergency.
As a trade union, we are doing everything we can to ensure that the tourim industry move away from the low-wage industries.
