Red Cross Collective Agreement: Conclusion in the 4th Round of Negotiations
In the fourth round of negotiations on the collective agreement (KV) for Red Cross employees, an agreement was reached. In addition to the wage and salary increase, key improvements in the framework law were also implemented.
More rights and better framework conditions
The following improvements have been achieved in the framework law:
Military service is credited
For paramedics, military service will be credited in the future if they have completed their previous service in a relevant field . This brings fair consideration of qualifications and experience.
More care leave for parents of children with disabilities
Children with disabilities who receive the increased family allowance are now also entitled to an additional week of care leave from the age of 12.
Faster adjustment in case of overtime
The eligibility requirements for an adjustment in the event of overtime have been significantly improved: instead of the previous 12 months, 6 months will be sufficient in the future.
Legal entitlement to partial retirement
The legal entitlement to partial retirement was renegotiated and secured in the collective bargaining agreement.
First step towards partial retirement
A first step towards partial retirement was anchored in the collective agreement – an important signal for flexible transitions into retirement.
Care subsidy from 1 January 2026
The additional KV for the care subsidy will be re-concluded on 1 January 2026. The prerequisite is that the federal states reimburse the costs incurred.
A step forward – achieved together
The conclusion shows that improvements in the Red Cross KV are possible when employees stand together and are unionized.
After the trial is before the trial. If you want to further improve your working conditions, the best thing to do is to strengthen the common voice in the company.
