BARS collective bargaining agreement
The BARS collective agreement for employees of the Professional Association of Employers in Rescue and Related Medical Professions was concluded in mid-February. It brings wage and salary increases of between 3.3 and 4 percent.
KV negotiation
The new BARS-KV will apply from 1 January 2025 to around 800 employees at the Professional Association of Employers in Rescue and Related Medical Professions. It brings an increase in wages and salaries of between 3.3 and 4 percent. This affects all salary groups, including apprentices and on-call duty.
Clarity for apprentices and holiday interns
Apprentices also benefit from the innovations: Those who complete an "apprenticeship with Matura" are now entitled to up to ten paid days off to prepare for exams. Clear framework conditions have been created for holiday interns: they are allowed to work a maximum of two months per year until they reach the age of 19 and are paid according to the salary of the second year of their apprenticeship.
Other improvements
The crediting of previous periods of service will be made more generous. Subject-relevant periods can now be taken into account for up to 15 years. Further adjustments concern the increase of the mileage allowance to the new statutory level.
