In Austria, people are pushing along. disabilities and chronic illnesses often fall into barriers. They often work far below their qualification level and are more and longer affected by unemployment. That must not be! That is why we stand up for the rights of people with disabilities and chronic illnesses.

On 11 June, we invite AK Vienna, ÖGB Chancen nutzen Büro, trade union PRO-GE, ÖZIV association and disabled people's association KOBV to the inclusion conference in the Trade Union House in Vienna.

Under the motto "I wü a hackeln!", we will talk about innovative and inclusive working models, about working with cancer and about dealing with crises, death and grief.

Possible innovative working models for people with disabilities
Our labour market is exclusive instead of inclusive. When it comes to employing people with disabilities, countless companies are below the prescribed quota. Due to the shortage of skilled workers alone, employers must rely more on well-qualified people with disabilities. In this panel, we exchange ideas and best practice examples and make demands for an inclusive labour market.

11.45 a.m.:
"When I kicked death in the balls"
In conversation with Alexander Greiner - author, journalist and affected person

Afterwards. Panel 2
Cancer and the world of work
Does the diagnosis of cancer mean that a cancer patient can no longer carry out his or her professional activity? When you are diagnosed with cancer, you worry not only about the disease, but also about whether you will keep your job. In this panel, we will talk, among other things, about what rights you have as a data subject, what still needs to be expanded, what legal changes are necessary and what difficulties can arise in a counselling situation.
