Collective bargaining agreement at Ordensspitäler Austria
The collective agreement negotiations for the religious hospitals in Austria led to a successful conclusion in the fifth round. Employees will receive 2.9 percent higher wages, allowances and salaries. In addition, there are other improvements.
KV negotiation
The negotiations on the collective agreement (KV) Ordenskrankenhaus Österreich have been concluded. Union members approved the negotiation result with a clear majority in a vote that ran until February 26. "We were able to agree on a good package with the employers," was the first conclusion of vida negotiator Farije Selimi. It was a major concern for her to achieve higher wages so that the purchasing power of the employees is maintained. This has been achieved with an increase of 2.9 percent on wages, salaries and allowances, which covers rolling inflation. For vida negotiator Johannes Wölflingseder, the agreement on a so-called job ticket is a special success. This refers to a monthly mobility allowance for the use of public transport.
Key points of the new collective agreement
- 2.9% increase in wages, salaries and allowances to cover rolling inflation of 2.9%.
- Job ticket for the Viennese houses on application from 01.04.2025 - from the marginal income threshold and less than 30 hours of employment on a pro-rata basis.
- Shortening of the calculation period for part-time employees to two months. This means that additional hours are paid out more quickly.
- Examination fee: Employers pay a one-time examination fee for apprentices, specialists, general practitioners, psychotherapists and clinical psychologists.
- Increase in the GSI/SEG allowance for sterilization staff and surgical assistants from the current €262.89 to €372.25.
- Creation of an allowance for nursing assistants: Nursing assistants are to receive an allowance of 60 euros in certain departments (§ 64 GuKG-Ausbildung).
- Improvement for nursing educators: Nursing educators are to be assigned to nursing and thus be entitled to the 6th week of vacation.
- Improvement for managers: Allowances are to be created for managers and coordinators.
