KV Private Hospitals: Second round of negotiations without result
Trade union vida demands more appreciation. The employers' offer lacks any respect.
The second round of collective bargaining negotiations for employees in private hospitals ended on Monday, November 3, without result. Instead of relying on constructive talks, the employers presented an offer that lacks any respect for the employees.
"The proposed valorisation would not even cover half of the rolling inflation – that is simply unacceptable."BV-Vorsitzender Anton Proksch Institut und vida-KV-Verhandler
In addition to the insufficient wage increase, all demands for improvements to the framework rights were categorically rejected.
Employees keep the health system running
The vida trade union reminds us that the employees in private hospitals ensure that patients are cared for professionally and safely day after day - often under high work pressure. "It is precisely these colleagues who keep the health system running during and after the pandemic who deserve wages and working conditions that they can also live with," Steer emphasizes.
vida calls for serious negotiations
"We expect employers to provide a fair, appreciative offer that recognises the achievements of employees and secures their purchasing power. Anything else would be a mockery of those people who care for sick people and people in need of care every day," said the vida trade unionist.
The next hearing of the KV Private Hospitals will take place on November 17.
