Rainbow Parade 2024
340,000 people marched along Vienna's Ringstrasse on June 8, 2024. They were all part of the Rainbow Parade, which took place for the 28th time . Lesbians, gays, bisexuals, heterosexuals, trans, cis, inter- and queer people demonstrated for acceptance, respect and equal rights in Austria, Europe and around the world. The trade union vida was also part of the Rainbow Parade .
Pride is a demonstration
Under the motto "Pride is a demonstration", the colorful participants of the 28th Rainbow Parade, the largest demonstration in Austria, demanded more rights for LGBTIQ people. The "Pride" is now one of the strongest movements in the world. This year, 92 colorfully decorated trucks, other vehicles and groups of participants paraded along Vienna's Ringstrasse.
