The negotiations for the 2025 collective agreement of the Upper Austrian religious hospitals were concluded after six rounds. Wages, salaries and allowances will increase by 3.5 percent from 01.01.2025.

The negotiations for the collective agreement (KV) 2025 of the Upper Austrian religious hospitals led to an agreement after six rounds. The central result is a 3.5 percent increase in wages, salaries and allowances. The union members confirmed the result of the negotiations with a clear majority. The KV is valid from 01.01.2025.
In addition to more money, more free time
In addition to the improved pay, employees will benefit from an extension of the so-called time bonus regulation. From 01.05.2025, employees can carry 48 hours per year into the next year, after 10 or 20 years of service, the number of hours increases again by 8 hours each. Equally gratifying: December 31 is now considered a full day off. Another success is that employees get the 6th week of vacation faster. For example, employees aged 51 and over who are subject to Rule 1 will enjoy more time off after 5 instead of 10 years of service. From 1 May 2025, a uniform calculation period of four months will also apply to all employees.
Further improvements in the KV Ordensspitäler Oberösterreich
- Increase in on-call remuneration: increase to €46.75 (previously €36.2).
- Improvements to the stand-in allowance from 01.05.2025.
- Adjustments to the classification scheme for surgical assistants, medical assistant professions, nursing assistants with competence extension, nursing assistants and medical masseuses
- Crediting of previous service periods: Immediately from the probationary month, reduction of the minimum duration for crediting from 6 to 3 months.
- Partial retirement: Possibility anchored in the collective agreement. In the event of rejection, the works council must be involved.
- Sabbatical: Any rejection must be justified before the works council. Possibility to save the time bonus for sabbaticals.
- Long-term care bonus from the federal government: Still covered by supplementary collective agreement.
- Working time account: From 01.01.2026, a percentage of between 2 and 20% of the basic salary, as well as time bonus and anniversary payments, can be saved. The credit can be consumed as leisure time at the end of your career.
- Other innovations: The pool service regulation in the collective agreement has been extended by one year, apprentices have been included in the scope of application, job bike offers have been made possible.
