Caretakers and facility managers: minimum wages rise sharply

The trade union vida reached agreements for around 3,000 employees

House caretakers, caretakers and facility supervisors can look forward to an increase in their minimum wages. A total of 19 new minimum wage tariffs were negotiated, which will increase by 3.8 and 3.9 percent. On 1 January 2026, they will come into force for the whole of Austria.

"With these agreements, we were able to secure the purchasing power of our colleagues," says Gernot Kopp, Chairman of the vida Facility Management Department.
